The Watch Uniting the Past with the Present, IWC Portuguese Tourbillion Manual-winding Watch

without comments

The year 2010 is “The Year of Portuguese” for IWC, because IWC is unveiling one after one Portuguese watches. Soon after the unveiling of Portuguese Tourbillion Self-winding Watch, the Portuguese Toubililion Manual-winding Watch is launched. This is for a function to highlight the 80th anniversary of Portuguese series.

Well-known for its brief style, the Portuguese watches combines the eternal and elegant design elements with the original fine watch manufacturing technique.  Hence, they are pursued and praised by many watch collectors and experts. This Portuguese Tourbillion Manual-winding Watch owns the classic compounding of refined stainless steel and original pocket watch clock mechanism. This classic collocation stages the first Portuguese pocket watch 70 years ago. There are two styles for this manual-winding watch series.

Thefirst one is boasting black dial with rhodanised Arabic numerals and symbolic leaf-shape pointers. This watch has a distinguishable silver second dial at 6, with the red number “60” detail showing its distinctness. The other kind is furnished with silver dial and rose gold markings and hands. It adopts a light grey second watch, which is vividly eye-catching. Both styles feature the traditional track-like bezel with nickel silver 3/4 pallet and prolonged pointers. The clock mechanism is the IWC self-made 98295 clock mechanism, which encompasses a brilliant  style of the introductory Jones’ clock mechanism. With the two calm graceful watches, once again IWC gives its praise to the original Portuguese wristwatches. It is expressed that the Portuguese wristwatches supports itself as the near perfect automatic watches since its outdistanced past. In conclusion, aggregating the present with the past, the IWC Portuguese Tourbillion Manual-winding Watch could be taken to be the witness of time.
